ESOL for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children
Start your education journey with a course that is specifically designed for those aged 16-18 who are unaccompanied minors. If you are not in any other education provision, we can support you to gain recognised qualifications and life skills. Our dedicated team will also support your personal education plans and your next steps. Subject to eligibility, you may even get financial support for travel.
What does the UASC programme involve?
- Team building activities
- Life skills
- An introduction to First Aid
- An introduction to IT
- At least 2 days attendance for 30 weeks (based on the KCC academic year and dependant on site)
Qualifications
- English, reading and writing, and speaking and listening
- Functional Skills maths (Entry levels)
