Erith Flooring are an established flooring retailer and contractor. They supply all types of flooring, install carpet, vinyl wood flooring and laminate. They have a wide clientele including several celebrities, so they are looking for someone who understands confidentiality. They work in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

Description of Vacancy

The work involves all aspects of a flooring contractor, admin, telephone answering, estimating, calculating, unloading deliveries, assisting fitters, site surveys, filing & admin input of data to computer. You will need to deal with celebrities and general public alike offering the same high level of service to every customer. Generally supporting our small team and getting hands on experience in all aspects of the business. You will be required to get involved in all aspects of customer service to support our customer base and our fitters

Duties will include:

  • Provide excellent customer service via e-mail, telephone and internal messaging systems
  • Day to day use of Microsoft Office- Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Meet and greet duties to customers
  • Help to provide estimates
  • Deal with orders and payments
  • Provide customers with advice, guidance and support
  • Helping with customer issues, after care and service recovery
  • Data organising/reporting
  • Analysing customer satisfaction
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure everything is managed accurately

Wage

£224 per week

Hours

Monday to Saturday
40 hour week
Paid 1 hour lunch
20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as "Off the Job Training"

Qualifications Required

GCSE Grade 9 - 4 (or A - C) in English and Maths as a minimum. Or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 Standard will establish an Apprentice's skills to deliver high quality service to customers both internally and externally. The Apprenticeship will incorporate knowledge of customers and the customer experience, understanding the organisation, its products/services and their role and responsibilities. Regular work-based assessments/observations carries out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2024, the NMW for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
