Rosherville Repairs & Maintenance provide all aspects of electrical, gas and general build services; maintaining, servicing, repairing and dealing with emergency works across domestic properties within the South East.

Our engineers work on all types of work, across a range of homes including Social Housing, Rental Properties and Privately owned.

Description of Vacancy

Rosherville Repairs & Maintenance are currently seeking a Business Administration Apprentice to join our new team located in Northfleet, Kent.

This role will support the Business Coordinator in all aspects of managing a busy office.

Some of your responsibilities will include scheduling works for engineers who provide all types of repairs and facilities support across a wide range of homes. You will be required to record all activity within the in-house system and assist in dealing with incoming emergency calls from residents and clients. You will need to use your excellent customer service skills to deal with our customers, clients and residents – ensuring that you are at all times clear, concise, polite and helpful.

  • Effectively schedule works for our Engineers.

  • Prioritise appointments as they occur.

  • Be a point of contact for anything administration related.

  • Assist in all queries from customers, clients and residents via phone call and email.

  • Record all activity from inbound phone calls/emails.

  • Assist in dealing with incoming emergency calls from residents and clients.

  • Provide excellent customer service skills to our customers, clients and residents.

  • Provide a range of administrative duties to support the on-going development of the service.

  • Respond to routine correspondence and enquiries from members of the public, suppliers, and other staff.

  • Maintain manual and computerised systems including inputting data, keeping records, statistics, confidential and general filing systems as directed.

  • Organise meetings ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made.

  • Research, prepare, print, photocopy and distribute documents.

  • Undertake any other administration job related tasks as required.

£237 per week

Hours

37 Hours per week – 7.4 hours per day

1 hour unpaid lunch break per day.

20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as "Off the Job Training"

Qualifications Required

GCSE Grade 9 - 4 (or A - C) in English and Maths as a minimum. Or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. The role may involve working independently and as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, together with virtual training sessions and action plans, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2024, the NMW for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
